🏕️ 2027 Summer Camp - Camp Famous Eagle - Session 4

📅 When: Sunday, July 11, 2027 at 1:00 PM – Saturday, July 17, 2027 at 5:00 PM

📍 Where: Camp Famous Eagle, S-F Scout Ranch, 120 US Hwy 67, Knob Lick, MO 63651

👥 Who: Troop 25 Scouts and participating registered adult leaders.

🎯 Why: Summer camp is the biggest week of the Scouting year — a full week of advancement, adventure, and patrol life. Scouts camp together as a troop and eat in the dining hall.

Program Overview

  • Session 4 at Camp Famous Eagle, S-F Scout Ranch, Knob Lick, Missouri.
  • Assigned campsite: Simpson (capacity 34).
  • Dining hall meals at Leadership Hall — no patrol cooking this week.
  • Lake adventures, water sports, and fishing on the 270-acre Nims Lake.
  • Merit badge sessions, STEM, shooting sports, and camp-wide game nights.
  • First-year program for new Scouts working toward Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class.

What to Bring / How to Prepare

  • Current BSA Annual Health and Medical Record parts A, B, and C, valid through July 17, 2027. Forms cannot expire during camp.
  • A signed permission slip.
  • Personal camping gear for a full week of Missouri summer heat, including extra socks, rain gear, and a refillable water bottle.
  • Swim gear and a towel — every camper takes a swim check on arrival.
  • Scout Handbook, merit badge prerequisites, and any equipment listed in the final trip instructions.
  • Do not rely on an older campout packing list; trip-specific guidance will be shared before departure.

Advancement & Merit Badges

The week is built around merit badge sessions and first-year rank advancement. Some badges carry additional fees and pre-work that must be finished before camp. Merit badge signup timing and the badge list will be announced once the council opens scheduling.
