📍 Where: Shawnee Adirondacks, S-F Nims Lake at S-Bar-F Scout Ranch

👥 Who: All members of Troop 25

🎯 Activities: Fishing, hiking, exploring, outdoor fun, and rank advancement.

Cost & Sign-Up

• Total: $39 per person: $5 truck fee, $20 for food, and a $14 reservation fee.
• The food fee covers two breakfasts, one lunch, one dinner, and snacks.
• Deadline: Return the completed permission form and payment by Wednesday, August 19. Late sign-ups cannot be accepted.
• Planning meeting: Each attending Scout and a parent will meet at 7:45 PM on August 19 to make final travel and menu arrangements.
• Complete both sides of the attached permission form, including the first-aid section and vehicle information if helping drive.

Travel

• Meet at the Sperreng Middle School back parking lot at 5:15 PM. We will head out at 5:30 PM.
• Scouts riding with drivers who leave later must make their own arrangements.
• Each family is expected to provide transportation for at least three activities each year.

What to Bring

• Scout Handbook, water bottle, drinking cup, fork, knife, spoon, and plate or bowl.
• A sleeping pad—the bunks have plywood bottoms and no mattresses.
• Layers, a warm stocking cap, and possibly an extra blanket. Average temperatures are 88°F for the high and 69°F for the low.
• Hiking shoes or boots. Tennis shoes should be a second pair rather than the primary footwear.
• Optional fishing pole. Anyone age 16 or older who fishes needs a fishing license.
• Items for personal entertainment, but no electronic games.

Advancement Opportunities

Scouts can work on Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class requirements. Scouts interested in completing Second Class cooking or First Class menu-planning and grocery-list requirements should volunteer in advance.
