🏕️ Troop 25 Summer Camp — Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation (2026)
Who: All Scouts of Troop 25 (and registered adult leaders)
Where: Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Camp

When: Sunday, July 12 → Saturday, July 18, 2026
Travel Time: ~8.5 hours (not including stops)
✅ Overview
Summer camp is the single most important Scouting event of the year — a full week of fun, adventure, teamwork, leadership, and merit badges. Scouts will camp as a patrol in the campsite and eat meals in the dining hall.
🚗 Departure / Travel Plan
We will depart Sunday morning (approximately 5:00–6:00 AM, exact time TBD).
We expect to arrive at camp around 3:00 PM for check-in, campsite setup, medical checks, swim checks, dinner, flags, and evening camp activities.
Return home is Saturday morning after packing up and checkout.
💰 Cost & Deadlines
Scout Camp Fee
- $425 (Saver Rate) — paid in full before May 1, 2026
- $495 — paid May 1, 2026 or later
Adult Camp Fee
- $175 — before May 1, 2026
- $200 — May 1, 2026 or later
✅ Payments can be made over time once your registration is submitted (you’ll receive login credentials for the camp portal).
REGISTRATION CLOSES: End of day June 22, 2026 (do not wait!)
⛽ Carpool Gas / Incidentals Estimate
Estimated $20–$30 per person (drivers/car owners do not pay this fee).
Final amount will be set June 1, 2026 based on gas prices.
📚 Merit Badges / Program Notes
Merit badge signup is expected around April 1, 2026 if at least $125 has been paid by that date.
Some badges may have additional fees and/or pre-work.
New Scouts: Trailblazer Program (skills toward Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class)
Age 13+: Coureur des Bois adventure trek program option
🩺 Medical Forms
All Scouts and adults must have current BSA Health Forms A, B, and C, valid for the full week (forms cannot expire during camp).

- Turn in summer camp registration ASAP (to get portal login)
- Set up payment plan
- Be paid up for April 1 merit badge signups
- Confirm medical forms are current and valid through July 18, 2026
- Start thinking about merit badge selections / camp goals
