📢 Summer Camp 2026 Information
UPDATE: Parents, Please check you Scouts Account for Summer Camp to see if you have a balance due for Summer Camp fees or for merit badge classes. Summer Camp is just over 6 weeks away.
Previous Update:
Registration is now open for the Horsemanship Merit Badge. Sign-ups for Unit Trail Rides and White Water Rafting will be open starting later this week. (Keep checking through your ID & Password if interested). Information is detailed below.
Horsemanship Merit Badge
- Capacity: 12/week
- Cost: $155/Scout
- Session: Monday-Thursday, 8:30-10:30AM (Sessions 1 & 2)
- Prerequisites: Waiver for participates signed by parents/guardians (Submitted during Check-in at Camp)
- Location: Highway 45 Riding Stables
- Transportation: MSR Shuttle
Trail Rides
- Capacity: 12/session
- Cost: $55/person
- Sessions: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, #1: 1-3PM and #2: 3-5PM. (There will be a waitlist for more Scouts/Units for additional slots for bigger troops and days.)
- Prerequisites: Waiver for participates signed by parents/guardians (Submitted during Check-in at Camp)
- Location: Highway 45 Riding Stables
- Transportation: MSR Shuttle
White Water Rafting - If interested let Mr. Hotaling, Mr. DeWeese and Mr. Sikorski know ASAP.
- Capacity: 120/week
- Cost: $40/person
- Times: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, start at 1PM. (We will assign units days based on size on Sundays during check-in)
- Prerequisites: All participates must pass the Swimmers test and complete a waiver (will be available on our website soon and submit during check-in)
- Location: Gardner Dam Scout Camp
- Transportation: Unit responsibility (~30 minutes South of MSR)

The camper savings paying only $425.00 for Ma-KA-JA-Wan Summer camp ends April 30, 2026. On May 1, 2026 the summer camp fee will go to the regular price of $495.00. Don’t miss out on this savings by paying by April 30th.
When registering for merit badges and classes (once you have paid a minimum of $200.00) you WILL NOT be able to select afternoon classes. MA-KA-JA-WAN will be doing open sessions for the afternoon. Basically show up for a merit badge and if you don’t like it do a different merit badge the next day or explore camp and make friends.
Merit Badge/Program sign-up will open on April 1st at 5PM to Scouts that have made a minimum deposit of $200. See attachments for the planned program schedule so scouts can start planning out their selections for summer camp.
